I need to remove the front hub to (try!) change the balljoints,

Have you got the correct tools is a good start.

scissor type balljoint splitter are good.
Correct size deep socket for the balljoints themselves.
torque wrench to put it all back together again ??

rachet, long pry bar,9/16th socket, 1 5/16ths socket, 1 1/2 deep socket,11/16ths socket, plyers, ball joint splitter and a big bertha hammer. and air impact gun if handy haha

take the caliper off the disc with the rachet and 9/16ths socket hang up with wire
undo the top and bottom ball joint nuts with 11/16ths socket and rachet or air impact
undo the track rod end with 11/16th socket (or 16 or 17mm if aftermarket sometimes)
take the split pin out of the cv stub shaft and undo the 1 5/16ths nut (preferably with air impact its easier)
remove the disc and splashguard
split the top and bottom ball joint with splitter and romove track rod end.
use the pry bar to lift the top arm as you remove the hub.
take out hub and do your worst haha

i do a minimum of about 2 minis a week wanting balljoints so ive got it down to an art now time wise hahahaha
