Please give your topic a title that quickly describes your problem. Just putting 'Help my Mini doesn't work' is useless to anyone trying to help.

Model:Mayfair
Year:1991
Description of problem (please be as in depth as possible):
Hi Guys,

My indicators have stopped working, everything on the same circuit is still working so I know the fuse is fine. The indicator flasher unit is also fine as is my hazard warning switch. Where do I look for the problem next? Is it at the stalk? Everything on the same stalk still works also. Please help guys I am at a stand still.

Any non-standard parts that might be involved with the problem? No

you could try the stalk but id try another hazard switch first just because the harards work doens tmean its not the switch as the indicators go mthrough the switch.

I have tried changing the switch but that hasn't changed anything.

Hazard flasher unit works fine because the hazards still work and the indicator flasher unit works fine because I have tried 2 new ones ( brand new out of the packet ) and neither of those get the indicators working either. Does anyone have any ideas?

If Ive got the right model. The feed to the stalk goes:- fuse-(green wire) to flasher unit, flasher unit-(light green/brown wire) to hazards switch, hazards switch-(light green/brownwire) to stalk, stalk-(green/white wire) to l/h side, (green/red wire) to r/h side. Check the wires into and out of the hazards switch, if they're ok, check the feed (LG/Br)at the stalk plug, loom side. Then continuity between LG/Br and G/R with the stalk in L/H indicator position then LG/Br and G/R with stalk in R/H indicator position.

Thanks Punts,

Only problem is I am not fantastic with electrics as I am teaching myself. I am learning but rather slowly ha ha ha. So my next question is how do i check the continuity? The way I read it, it must have something to do with the voltage between the different wires. If I am correct how do I check this?

Any info or advice would be great.

Cheers guys

Deano.
