Ok so iv just brought a brand new 1400 lump to replace my 1275, as the thing every mini owner worries about is cooling...

I have already a super cool 2 core radiator and a second electric fan under the wing,

But I was thinking of fitting a motorbike radiator behind the front grille to act as another heater matrix really,

Anyone tried this? Does it sound a good idea?

Try getting a SH Motorbike rad for decent money first.

They are usually the first things to go in a crash, and cost silly money new.

If the engine is healthy a two core should be sufficient.

I am thinking about doing the same for my 1380 for when I go to the IMM in Switzerland next year. I already have the Minispares 2 core which is OK most of the time but my car got very hot going over the mountains near the Nurbergring earlier this year and on the autobahn when it was 32c outside. The rads on my KTM dirtbike look to be a perfect size but finding second hand ones will be difficult so I will probably have a nose around a bike breakers so see if I can find anything suitable. If I can't find anything, I will probably use a Mini heater matrix instead.
