Need To Find A Rear Bolt For Top Engine Steady

1991 mini cooper 1.3i

hi i am wanting to replace the bushes on the top engine steady but cant get the rear bolt off because it is all rounded off, so was gonna drill it out. so i need to find a replacement bolt online but cannot find it anywhere, can anyone else find it?

no that bolt is to the engine, i need the bolt on the other end of the steady, the one that goes vertical

Isn't it the same bolt? the bush at either end is the same width so I thought the same bolt would do both ends?

that bolt is 5/16'' UNF x 1 7/8''

you can buy them anywhere! (well, probably not in toys r us, but you get what i mean!)

Never seen one of those before...thought they all used the bolt.

That stud was only used by early Minis, soon replaced by a bolt when BMC realised it was a pain in the ar$e to service the bushes as the master cylinders needed removing to do so.
