would it be ok to fit an LCB with an 1, 3/4 twin box with 2.1/4 tail pipe (center exit), heated alloy inlet manifold ?
can i keep original air box ?
do i need to change needle to a possibly stage 1 or just tweak my carb ?
your advice would be much appreciated.

a cooper free flow manifold would be better for a 998
and yes you will need a new needle and a rolling road tune to set things up

whats the disadvantage of using an LCB and the advantage of using a cooper freeflow.

i used an lcb on my old 998 and he was great pulled really well so no major difference will be felt by you its just the freeflow manifold is best for 998's, however lcb's are easy to get second hand and in my opinion do just as good a job. I also prefer the lcb as if you have further tuning mods in mind or an engine change to the 1275 or bigger the lcb is the one to go for. a needle change will be a must and also a rolling road setup is required to get the fueling right to get the best from the stage 1. Also go for a k&n panell filter to sit in the air box as these flow much better than the standard items.
