Full Version: The Secret Of Making Ebay Links Work
The Mini Forum > Shopping > eBay links
Jammy
First of all, you need the first half of the link which is thus:
CODE
[url]http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=

Stick the item number (220167974013) on the end and turn it into a link with [/url], for example:

CODE
[url]http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=220167974013[/url]
stardude
or you can just copy the address bar as long as your not 'watching' the item in your ebay

hello there ladies and gentleman, here i have produced a step by step guide on how to format ebay links correctly.

Step 1.
find your item on Ebay, here we have a very nice messenger bag. i have one like it and i love it shifty.gif .

Step 2.

here from the image below you can see a highlighted number in red and an arrow, what you need to do is copy this number and paste it into the box with an arrow pointing to it, then click search.

Step 3.

Now you would have noticed your address bar at the top of your browser has changed. we only need a section of this. now copy all that is highlighted.

Step 4.

now you have eveything to create your link in ebay, now start a new post or topic and click on the button that is arrowed to here.

Step 5.

now you should have the link box pop up.

now paste the address that you have copied in step 3 there should be only one http:// at the begining.

another box should appear like so

you can put what you want in here such as "clicky here", "click me" and "go on click me"

Happy ebay linking, oh and have a good crimbo everyone

thanks

Sam.
