This is a long awaited thread that should have been done when i first started but haven't got round to it,

I didnt see the mini again for around 4months as my dad was moving out of his work shop but, christmas day 2005 i found this outside

Once i passed my test in july 06 the first mod i made to it was the suspension fitting Gaz lowered dampers all round and Hi-Lo's as well

Then a couple of weeks before riv run 07 i installed some Cobra Classic bucket seat Black with Blue piping and Headrests

Then the week before riv run i came to the end of the probation period my dad gave me on the car for a 998 and now i could fit the 1293

Unfortunatly this engine lasted 2 weeks before the flwheel came off due to the little ridged washer being in the wrong way and causing the end of the crank to disintergrate, in replacement of the 1293 i have now a standard 1275 mini sprite engine with 60k in the clock. The first task for this was to make an engine steady as the previous one had snapped the bolt off inside the block and we could not remove it, so we manufactured one out of Stainless steel

Once the engine swap was completed i bought some 3" fibreglass arches of fleabay not sure what style they are, had them colour matched at a rover specialist, once they were fitted i thought the wheels looked odd inside the arches so i put some 1" spacers on each back wheel and 10mm on both front

I didnt touch it again untill L2B this year when i decided to fit a new dashboard this is still a work in progress and was only fitted as a prototype made from MDF i will get a picture at some point

My latest issue has been the rust problems on the nearside sill with the MOT date gone i thought i had better see to it here are some picures of the trouble spots

This is all i have at the moment will be back working on it tomorrow hopefull getting some plates made up

haha i was gunna say that. if i looked out of my window on christmas day and saw that.. i would be exstatic

hope you get it sorted asap,south central are relying on you at the ace cafe meets lol.

I hope so to i miss driving it, and if the weather stays good tomorrow it should be all good we have one tacked in place already just in front of the rear arch..and yeh was a pretty good christmas

Carried on with the work today got all the plates etc made up and welded in three of them so its starting to get better a few more holes found but nothing as serious, also found the the drivers seat has ripped the cross member so that needs fixing so before the rain came down this is what i got completed

also installed an inner arch fan so no more over heating whilst in traffic

Nooo! Remove the oversills!

Your repairs are only just beginning if it's down the the fact you've got oversills over regular sills.

These are only temporary to get it through the mot and until my sisters mini is done so i can use the spare car so that this can come off the road to be stripped down to a bare shell again, we do the mods that we want now its then easier once we put it back together

An Update i finished all the work, bought 3 new A539 yoko's and had them fitted and mot'd today and passed, also mounted my harnesses and had the tracking sorted, pleased to say the brakes are also working better than ever before, will get some pictures in the light and hopefully the sun
