Just had to change the slave cylinder ...dont want to have to do that in a hurry again!!
Why oh why is fibreglass !!!
i've gone through the front A032r's in about 450-500 miles!! think I'll get A008's again :(
megamini_jbGod knows! Most probably to do with my tracking, but it's all pretty much even wear across. Bloody waste so I'll either go with some A008's again, or considering having a change of wheels anyway while I'm at it.

megamini_jbI've got a new pair of 145/80 Marshalls (haha not quite in the same league as the Yokos) that I may have to put on for the time being.

Vinay-RSI need to get new rubber for the Mini too. Looking at either A008s or R7s. Apparently R7s are a softer than A008s and a bit grippier too.

When the Mini makes a loud bang while driving and you've got to limp it home :(
Will16Hope its not anything major Vin :/ !

can't wait for spring, so I can drive my lovely Elsie again
LoopyladsminiTis the Devils work - I've affectionately named the Mini "Gizmo" from the Gremlins - you can't get them wet (or feed them after midnight...)

minifreek1Why are people always surprised when they find rust on a Mini LOL It was included as an unoptional extra on them from new...
Feb 13 2018 06:38 PM
TobyM2018If only someone had told me that beforehand. Besides it's not so much finding the rust... It's finding quite so much!!!

Collecting my new engine tomorrow. yay. :)
Anthony30Yep. Lots more parts to buy. A bit daunting to be honest. Also sold me a 2wd cosworth intercooler. :) He will also be doing my cylinder head in a month or so. Doing it properly, no shortcuts.
Feb 11 2018 05:14 PM
Vinay-RSAgreed. Don't take shortcuts with the a performance motor build.

New game mini
Not worth starting a thread but does anyone know the process of getting provisional C1 put onto my licence (UK) GOV.uk website is useless. Thanks
minifreek1Could start looking into local HGV companies that do driver training for 7.5t wagons...?
Feb 06 2018 01:11 PM
Kieranlee999i've just done mine :) i got a form sent from the government website and filled it out and had to send that and my plastic card off with it. I rang a few companies and the one i went with said that C1 and Full C was only £20 difference with them so chose that. Now i can drive any rigid vehicle on the road of any weight :)

I’m not going to say what I was looking at to find this, well ok this… http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=401968 but I wonder if these would fit a mini? https://en-gb.facebook.com/LegoBatteryCovers/
Richie83that lego cover is cool. I think it is just a Lego storage brick.

I've just had that happy moment when you figure out how to build a really awkward shape in CAD only to be crushed moments later when you realise you still have s*** loads to do before the looming deadline.
£240 and another £80 for the removal/refitting of the tyres on a set of 12” mini wheels refub…. rattle cans it is then.
minifreek1Blimey thata hefty price, my local tyre place charges £5 per wheel if I supply the tyres...

Definitely a good idea taking the defender rather than a mini to mini fair today!
