Thanks guys, I have an advisory and next to it is 'borderline' I just wondered what this meant

The advisory is corrosion near subframe Mount but I can't see it myself to be honest that's why I'm wondering if it means very early stages

Not worth starting a thread but does anyone know the process of getting provisional C1 put onto my licence (UK) GOV.uk website is useless. Thanks

Could start looking into local HGV companies that do driver training for 7.5t wagons...?

i've just done mine :) i got a form sent from the government website and filled it out and had to send that and my plastic card off with it. I rang a few companies and the one i went with said that C1 and Full C was only £20 difference with them so chose that. Now i can drive any rigid vehicle on the road of any weight :)

Quick, non urgent question thought I'd post up here instead of starting a whole thread! Does anyone know if a mini will fail it's MOT without a binnacle cover over the clocks? The final securing hole on mine has finally split and wondering whether I need to repair?? Can't see why it would fail?

Can anyone recommend a good 'how to' book for mig welding? Ideally for someone who's thick (me)

I found lots of helpful 'how to' videos on youtube. Try searching 'how to mig weld' or something similar

You don't need a book, go here http://www.mig-welding.co.uk it tells you all you need

Yes but only IF it's being used on the road between stages of an organised race event.
He will however get fined for those black & white number plates.

Where's the spray paint from? If it's from Halfords, it will actually rub off with panel wipe.

Luckily it turns out it's plastikote so it's not been too bad to remove so far, which is good because it was all over the bonnet, windscreen and roof :o

Is a hole a bit smaller than a 10p in the front footwell an MOT failure? One of the drain holes has rusted out. The metal around it is good and strong

Would that be OK for MOT? It's not a perfectly round hole but I could make it work.

If it's a rusted out plug and you can clean it up and make it round again and replace with a grommet then I can't see it being a problem as long as it hasn't got sharp edges

Can anyone recommend a goodish but cheapish go pro type camera for that can attach to the outside of the car? Doesn't have to be amazing, just reasonable.

I started replacing mine, but then couldn't get the new one on so I have just left it off . Looks fine, and means you can get the gutter clean when you wash the car and also it gets the chance to dry off rather than having wet dirt trapped under it.

All the minis I had I never fitted a roof trim
