Right so the mini came back today, and from a distance it looked great.

Posted Image

But then on closer inspection, all was not good.

Posted Image

The front drivers side light had a scuff mark under it.

Posted Image

Chip in the drivers side window.

Posted Image

Posted Image

Door doesn't fit right, it has a thin gap at the top and gets bigger towards the bottom, and it drops too when you open it, and they said they have used the same hindges, when they should have changed them as the door didn't open. And there is a massive gap along the bottom of the door

Posted Image

Scratches above the rear quarter window, when that should have been resprayed.

Posted Image

That little groove thing on the bottom of the rear quarter where the door meets it is a mess.

Posted Image

There are scratches on the inside of the door, when it should be a brand new, sprayed door.

There is a puddle of paint on the bottom of the car on that lip that runs along it. The A panel is scratched. Some of the paint is blotchy. Overspray everywhere. I am not happy at all. It doesn't even look like it has had a new door, just a skin.

So its gone back and we have to go over on Saturday to tell them whats wrong with it

Did they deliver or did you collect the car?
Never remove a car from the premises until you are happy with the work and certainly don't pay until then either.

Its an insurance job, off the other drivers insurance. They delivered it on a flat bed, and it didn't even leave it. Luckily my mum was there to talk things over because I was so mad. They have had 3 weeks to sort it out. And they complained that they had trouble finding parts for it, and when I had a look in the car, what did I find, a trust MiniSport catalouge.

Who employed the repairers, was it the insurance company or did you find them? If it was the insurers you could ask them to have the work put right elsewhere. They are entitled to use a 2nd hand door - if it's in at least as good condition as yours was - might explain the damage to the glass if it's a complete 2nd hand door.

The insurance company employed them, I did get some quotes, but the one the insure company found seemed the best as they were going to give me a new door. And they said it was going to be a new door, because the inspector rang the place up when he came over to see if there would be any problems getting one.

Thanks for all your reply.

Keep them coming >_< , keeps me happy lol.

Finally decided, I really want to go for a Megajolt ECU for the engine. Seems the best way for the engine spec, and the feature seem amazing.

New panels only should be fitted if it is an approved insurance repair.

Man, that's a shocking job - don't let them get away with that. If you get no joy from the repairers, keep hassling the insurers.

Nice to see another PL; mine's still tucked away in the garage waiting for me to have some free time to restore her - looks like she'll sleep another winter as I've got so much work to do on the house :D
