I'd never even considered an Elf before I bought mine, now I love him, its just a bit different and more noticeable when you go to shows.

Out of all the minis I've owned I just couldn't part with him, usually after I've had em a couple of months I find myself looking at em and writing the fleabay ad in my head!!!

The interiors are ace and the boot space is enormous!!

Keep it!!!

i know what you mean, im only 26 and i have had over 35 cars now, i but something, use it for about 3 months and get rid of it, i havn't had a bad year this year,

skoda felicia pick up
fiesta mk3 (only had that to fill a gap between cars)
nova track day car
r5 gtt (loony machine)
nova 2.0 16v
n reg sidewalk mini
my current thrasher mini
riley elf,

im sure i can get a few more in between now and christmas thoguh lol

here are some more pics, taken in day light, managed to get the fuel pump going today after cleaning the contatcs in it, as advised by shifty and others, so thanks for that tip guys! still no clutch though, its jammed solid, but open so cant engage any gears, and didnt get chance to look at the brakes, but ill make a start on them tomorrow.

does anyone know if the exhaust is the same as the comercials and estate? mine is rotten before and after the (only) box at the back.

That looks cool!!

How can you sell him?

Eh?

Eh?

I don't know about the exhaust, but make sure you get the single box one, they sound really raspy!!

Do you mean the clutch is stuck to the flywheel and won't engage?

I rescued a 1960 mini from a garge where it had lain for 7 years and the clutch was stuck solid, tried all the usual tricks, starting up in gear etc.

Nothing worked.

I took the starter off and managed to get a long screwdriver in there and managed to prise the clutch-plate off the flywheel, you actually heard it click off!!!

Much easier than stripping and rebuilding.

the clutch is stuck open, i.e. you start it up, put it in gear and lift your foot clear of the pedal and still no drive, the hydraulics wrok, its just the arm i think is stuck, there is only the very slightest movement in it, which i think is only the plap in the fit on the ball on the end of the clutch arm. i'll give it some agro tomorrow!

i did a bit of de-greasing on the engine today, under about half an inch of luch, the green paint is still under there, its like somthing from time team! lol
