My name is Kev and I have been a Mini Fan since my first car a W reg 1000cc mini city in canary yellow. I then left the fold for a while but with the 40th anniversary at Silverstone beckoning another mini was purchased unfortunatly the head gasket went the night before the event and with a 500 mile round trip ahead of me I done the sensible thing. filled up as many bottles with water as I could find and set off stopping every 40-50miles to refill the radiator.I am glad to say we made it and had great weekend. This car unfortunatly met an untimely end when doing some rust repairs I hit a patch of filler and by the time I found some metal again it really wasn't worth repairing. But the mini bug had well and truly struck and my desire to have a proper powerful mini took hold. which has resulted in my current money pit a 1399cc Sprint / Hillclimb car check out www.real-minimotorsport.co.uk for more details.
