if you're interested, martyn dawkins a buddy of mine had his roadster featured in miniworld this month, and a guy has been in touch saying he has the moulds for the roadster conversions, and patterns for a roof like device originally developed by Banham.
I can get his details if you want??

is the rear deck hinged or removable to get into the boot and what rear lights does it need, just the holes look a bit big for mk1 lights (maybe the camera angle?)

If thats all steel a hell of a lot of hours have gone into it

the back end needs to balance to the front end - so fit a fat bumper and go twin dtm.

still working on other info :)

i need loads of bits, thankfully a few friends are helping out, but any spares you still have, let me know!

Seen your wanted thread but don't have any of the bits your after, sorry. Have piles and piles of bits but not what you need just loads of standard mk3/4 parts

Just hope we get a summer this year for you to use it lol

if it was me - and I'm not known for extreme custom minis >_< - smooth the back end completely with a smoothy bootlid, fit internal hinges and solenoid locks to it, and go for flush mount if not recessed lights. you then have the perfect arse.
your midriff may then want attention to smooth it out and slim it down, loose those sticky-out bits at the bottom.
up front you can get away with a bit of bulge, but a leaner, meaner facade is all the rage.

lean, mean skinny and nasty. and topless too !!:)

Is that the bloke at the Lincoln Mini Centre? Or just another bod off here?

If you need any standard bits and pieces, literally from nuts and bolts upwards give me a shout I'll see what I've got

Anyway good luck with the project, don't know why but really like the short doors

cheers for the replies, shes got some parts promised to her but mainly its a bare shell sh shes going to need help. no idea if the engine runs or anything at this stage. One possiblitly is to 'borrow' bits of daniels 1972 which is a shame because its taxed and moted
another option is that she drives the 1972, sells the z3 for £4000 as a cheap sale.
