Standard engine I wouldnt take it over 6-6.5k

If its not in tip top condition dont even go to 6k... things may start to remove themselves from the engine..

As for max power, that really depends on tune and stuff, but I expect rather high, around 5500 maybe?

my thou peaked at about 5200 something, but i think its the same for 1300's too... altho my clubby's happy with 7k and i stop there, as he dont pull much after that..

with a stock 998 do not take it about 6200. other wise you will kill it very quickly! and tehre is no point anyway as over 5k there is no extra pull just more revs. only need to rev the tits off it if its been highly tune and lightened, balanced, and had a centre strap.

I took Old Blue to 8k a few times, but normally changed gear at 6500 - 7000 and it was fine...
