Hi - just bought and 1990 RSP Cooper in need of a little TLC on the bodywork.
Anybody know of any local mini clubs to Fleet in Hampshire?
Any tips for removing rust and repairing the bodywork?
Thanks,
Matt

hello and welcome to the forum dude!!
the only way to get rid of rust, is to cut it out and plate it back up. if you just rub it off or sand it, it will still come back!
good luck!

Welcome to the wonderfull world of mini ownership and also TMF...
As for rust, the only way to beat it is to cut it out and weld in some new metal, or a new panel.
As for clubs in fleet, dunno... but here's a link to the Miniworld club listing which is not that bad... Clicky

Welcome to The Mini Forum.Anybody know of any local mini clubs to Fleet in Hampshire?
I'm not sure of any clubs in Fleet, but there is Basingstoke Mini club. Although not many members atm.
I'm sure there is a few clubs in Surrey, too.

Welcome to the site, good luck with the rust.
If you can't weld yet you'd better learn as its a skill you will be needing to use very often!

I'm not too Far From Fleet Myself!
I'd be interested to find out whether there is a club around!

welcome to the forum pal..... As pooky said, above, if your RSP is a G reg, then it is indeed extra special, these were for the motoring press, and came out before the rsp's were put on sale.
