However you find easyest!!
It normaly helps if you take the front seats out and put a ratchet strap around the uprite legs of the cage and pull them in a bit. This makes it easier to get into the car...

yes the cage adds weight. and a 3 leg cage isnt woth it, go for a 4 leg with a coss member, far safer.

Can still use your back seat with a 4 leg...
They add a small amount of weight, but its worth it for the safety and extra stiffening it gives the shell...

CAn I ask where you got it from, is it one of the old John alley cages, If so bin it, these are not CDS. I assume you are not using it for competion, but even as a road cage these are not up to the job.
Are you sandwhich plating the cage in, if not you should be. Sanwhich plating them will stop the cage ripping out in the event of an impact.
Also the non CDS tubing used in these cheap cages will break and im sure you wouldn't want a passenger getting impailed on that!!!
At the risk of being pedantic, rollcages will not substanualy increase the shell stiffness unless the cage is mounted through the front and rear firewalls and onto the suspension turrets. The cage should also run as close as possible to the roof and floor lines, preferably being welded to the A and B pillars as well.
The you have effectively created a saftey cell for the driver of the vechile. If at all possible all seats mounts should be welded into the cage incase the shell deforms the the seats dont move
P.S. To make fitting your cage easier cut the rear bins out!!
