Just thought I'd drop in and say hi, have been reading this site for a few days and I thought I'd register because I know I'm going to need help with something :grin:

Purchased it from a friend who needed to get rid of it quick, hopefully I didn't get screwed over as I haven't been able to start it yet because of a flat battery but with any luck I'll be able to get it running tomorrow.

One big problem is I know zip about minis so I might ask some stupid questions along the way.

Here it is, cost £200 with alot of spares and got a garage to store it in while fixing it up. Needs some work but hopefully I can get it through it's MOT soon and get it sprayed at some point in the future.

Oh yeah I should have mentioned my names John, live in Scotland and this is officially my first car I also drive a 68 beetle but so does my dad so I can't really call that mine.

Arh he went on holiday without giving me the keys so I still haven't got round to the garage to try and get it started.

One question at the moment I looked in the manual but couldn't find if it runs on leaded or unleaded, does anyone know? I think it's a mk5.
