hell and back is here again with the first run of 2009.

i have drove a few roads with wobly (thanks for coming) and managed to come up with some more good routes for 2009.

the next run will be on sat 7th feb meeting at 1pm and leaving in convoy at 1.30pm

the meeting point is once again mc donalds just off the A59 outside of clitheroe

stickers will be given out for all who attend as usual.

http://maps.google.c...r....120605&z=9

the run has some great roads with some great photo chances with a couple of stops along the way and once again a brew and butty stop..

want to get as many as we can on this one get a real good convoy on the road.

looking forward to seeing you all on the day and lets get a list started ready for the big day.

Hi all
Yeah if my brakes are rebuilt by then Ill be there.
Car currently sitting in the workshop on axle stands but work keeps getting in the way.

Just as a pointer can you make everyone look out for each other,A mini went missing the last time due to a fuel problem I believe, might make it part of the convoy to all stop if someone has a problem.
I would like to have people stop to assist if I broke down.
Just a thought.

Wasnt the problem that the driver hadnt filled the car with fuel and wasnt sure they would make the whole trip.
At least thats what they said when we all pulled over to wait for them a few miles up the road.
There was one other car which pulled over and someone did stop and assist them and I believe they caught us up.

that is true. not enough fuel so they turned back.. we did set off from a petrol station so you would think people would top up.

i now plan the runs and take two other local mini owners on the run so we have some wing men in the middle and at the back to prevent this from happening but minis did stop last time and the time before and checked that everyone was ok before carrying on to meet up with the others...

so hopefully this will help in the event of break down and prevent anyone from getting left.

a few of us are also in the process of fitting cb's so the people who know the route can comunicate and slow the front down to a stop in any situation..

i am trying to do as much as i can to make the days run smoothly and be enjoyable...

i hope nobody who comes on the runs feels like they will be left if they break down. we are all in it together and it all adds to the fun and events of the day...

worst case i have a van and unit, with tools, that a mini can be stored in until right or ready to be collected if needs be. and its local to the runs so there is always a solution..

hi all

i too think it would be a good idea to have someone local that stays at the back to make sure everyone is ok

last time we came as much fun as it was, if it hadnt of been for shaun & sarah stopping for the mini that had fuel issues which in turn caused them to get held up it would of been a bit pointless us coming all that way as nobody stopped to see where we went when we had to pull off and we were stuck in the middle of nowhere unsure where you'd all gone

we will try and come to this one if work and money allows as it it a bit further for us to come than most of you
