Ok now im really peed off.............. As you all know i completed Nini last week and since i changed the carb on her she is very very quick and out does Grover no problem !! Grover currently has a 1275 metro engine were Nini has a 1275 Mg metro lump and the difference is shocking !!! So because Nini belongs to my other half and is faster....... Im seriously thinking of 1 either going for a mg turbo lump or 2 putting a set of 1.5 rolling rockers on ? both will cost the same amount but do i really want all the work of a engine change and whats involved with fitting a turbo lump ? Other than the usual bits !!

Turbo conversions require the bulkhead to be cut and a box welded in. The heater then has to be mounted a bit further forward. You'll need all the bits off the metro like the fuel pump, fuel regulator and of course the turbo unit and engine.

Spend the money on a Nitrous kit instead. It'll fit your standard engine and can be set up to be switched on at full throttle, saves a bit of fuel :cheese:

ahhh beno beno beno....

send her on holiday mate, then swap the engine, when there out swap the colours if there painted, then youle get away with it! how easy was that? :ohno:  :P

i wouldnt use nos, imo its a waste of money and youle blow your engine into a million peices unless youve spent loads on it, i would turbo it

You must be planning on getting some mighty expensive 1.5s if you can do a turbo conversion for the same price.

Best way to make your car go faster is by getting a better cylinder head and cam.

I bought an MG metro cam recently for £15 and you could get a decent head for say a couple of hundred squid.

A bit of plumbing, mount a cylinder in the boot, couple of solenoids in the engine bay, a couple of nozzles fitted into the manifold, fix an activation switch on the throttle at full throttle results in 25 to 45 bhp instantly when you mash your foot to the floor, no lag :ohno:

Have a look at this link to find out about nitrous, this site helps you build a DIY system but if you are not technical and don't want to melt your engine then a purpose built system can be bought from MOSS Europe, though they don't list a price.
