Hi all, well its about time i said hi now i have my kit, so hi.

Well i did not get my kit straight from z-cars them selfs. i got it off a lad call chris johnston how got it from z-cars a few years ago and has never built it (for what ever reason).

I have started to put it all together. I like ur selfs have come across a few problems the first was the front sub frame tower bolt whole did not line up. Then the rear cage did not line up with the front tower bolts wholes. I think this is just all down to the shell.

I have just come across the same problem with the floor bar plates not lining up with the front subframe wholes (like some of you have)

thanks
john

Hello John, welcome to the forum.

What are your plans for it?

I am sure the others on here will agree with me when I say ask any questions and we will all try and help wherever possible.

Best of luck with the build.

Andy

Baby due tomorrow - woo, good luck with too.

I had planned to do more track and strip but I think it will be more like 90% road and the rest split between track, strip and shows, hence why I am going mad with the sound deadening and trying to watertight it properly.

So keep the pics coming when you can........

Well this is my 3rd mini but my 2nd was a watons 1.6v vtec powered which i built www.vtecmini.co.uk

The only thing i have to do now is to line up the floor bar with the floor plate on the front subframe and bolt it down, right now they almost line up as i try and drill one whole they r just too close to the edge on the floor bar plate, so i think im going to have undo it all and try a slightly bigger space as right now i have one in at 5mm i think 8-10mm will be better. this i hope will bring the front frame slightly further forwards.

thanks
john

John - Just cheked out the website of your last vtec, well done on that. I did think about making a website but seeings as I know feck all about them I will steer clear for now.

I am afraid that I cant offer any help on lining up the floor bar as I got zcars to do the first fit of the kit, yer I know thats cheating but it took a lot of the headache out of the build

Allan - I didnt put enough owness on the word TRYING before watertight - ha ha - I think we all appreciate what a seive these things are, still I will try, got a few tricks up the sleeve. Liked the other vids on the tube by the way.

Hi all, well we are still waiting my our baby to come out hes over due now by 9 days, work on the mini as been slow but i have now got the frame all bolted in i had to use 10mm spacer on the front subframe to get it in line. Got the gear stick bolt in and started work on building up the front frame.
