Right,finally got the gauges hooked up,clock and oil temp working,prob is with the voltmeter not working,it shows no reading at all
all the wiring is now correct,any body got any suggestions

If all the wiring is correct, then the gauge is defective.
If you have an multimeter, use it across the gauge terminals (with the ignition on) to confirm that power is reaching the gauge.
