Can anybody tell me whats happened to my archs?? At first I thought the painted had bled out of them. But now it seems they are covered in a white film. Sort of like a dry paste or something, I can scratch it off and reveal the BRG paint below, but there isn't the shine like the is on the rear archs(I only have this problem with the front arches).

Something is wrong with the paint on my archs?

They used to be fine, I'm not sure if one of the coats has reacted with something, but whatever it is this white started as a relatively small patch at the top of the arch and has spread down both sides!!

Possibly the laquer coming away from the paint as pooky said, the same is happening on my boot!
Maybe the heat of the sun has done it or just age?
Mine happened due to pressure washing it, won't be doing that again!

it happened a lot on the bronze paint on my Clubby, it could be where the paint under the lacquer has not been prepped properly, and the lacquer is peeling back - it happened to my car in about an hour in a rainstorm, suddenly a load of lacquer just disappeared from the car!

Hmm, think I'll take it to a paintshop, shouldn't be much to sort it out.

try sanding the white stuff off with a fine grit wet and dry paper then re lackering them
