Where do I find a paint code in a ´74 Mk3?

Although the site is down for maintainence at the mo. Whats the colour? I have most of them in the back of a book somewhere.

or, because it only has a chassis and commision number and not a vin plate with the trim on.. basically you can't... !!

but if the colour is the original the what is it, eg white black orange, metalic.... and then it can be looked up.. and a numbe rof possibles found...

if there is nothing on the inside wing on the drivers side, and it isn't a standard colour, call the person you got the car from (if you got the number) and see if they know, if not pop to the local spray shop and i'm sure they can find the colour for you.
