I'm about to get my hands on a remote brake servo, does anyone have one fitted that they could post up some pics of??

Also, are there re-build kits for them as this one is quite old I believe!

Mk1/2 servos are different than Mk3 and later. Rebuild kits are available, but you may have to go to places other than the usual sources like Mini Spares and Mini Sport. Contact some of the people who professionally rebuild brake parts. Mk3 servos are still available new and their rebuild kits are readily available.

I had one fitted, and removed it as it was a complete waste of engine space, plus I was going through clutches like nobodies business so it was for ever being taken out anyway...

But It was mounted on the O/S inner wing ( clutch side ) with the vacuum unit towards the bulkhead and angled upwards so the end of the unit was about where the bonnetstay bracket is located... then it was just piped in between the master cylinder and the down pipe for the brakes before the front/rear "T" piece. Take note that the vac pipe from the inlet must either have a 1way valve or U bend (below the unit) to prevent fuel being pushed into the servo..

Bling looking bay there my man, but that isn't a remote one. :dontgetit:

Maybe I will just get hold of a late type servo and change the barke system to suit, although they may already be the right ones?? I can't remember the differences without looking at a diagram lol

I've got one sitting in my garage! I pretty sure I'm not fitting it to my minus because I couldn't think of anywhere to put it :nugget: I didn't like the idea of it in the cab and there's not a lot of space under bonnet plus I'd have to run a vacuum line front the engine at the back..... :nugget:

Do you need the correct pedal box to go with the satndard servo setup then?

if you fit the post 92 servo (the same type as pooky) you do need the pedal box to go with it! I've got one in the garage somewhere that is now surplus to requirements
