Is it worth fitting a super charger to a 1275 engine? i was thing of building a 1275 with a lightened flywheel, kent 276 cam etc etc and then fitting a super charger?

What kind of power gains can i expect to see? or has anyone else on here done one before?

IMO it definatley is, hopefully depending on what my insurance company has to say i shall be doing the supercharger conversion early next year, its a little more complex than just throwing a few bits together though, the head has to have the right cc otherwise the compression ratio goes through the roof, but i think the cam doesnt really matter as long as its not stupid, well thats what i learned from Vmax Scart

expect an EASY 40bhp at the flywheel, without changing pulleys to uprate the pressure

Or you can buy the kit which was actually designed for the A series instead of for the Chrysler engine and comes with a much more efficient blower. You can see between a 40% and 60% increase with a supercharger easily as long as you build the engine properly in the first place. Very good bang-per-buck upgrade.

Or you could Turbocharge it for far less than any of these supercharger kits cost ......

i just prefer the supercharger conversion, ok it costs more, but its a much more unusual engine performance upgrade, theres far more Mini turbos than supercharged ones

anyone read the review in minimag of the twin engined supercharged drag racer, i remember seeing it do the 1/4 before the transformation into its current state and remember thinking it was goddamn quick, now theyve just gone loony
