Ok not strictly Mini, but having teh problem becasue my Mini is of the road.

Picked up this Fiat (yes I know)

The laquer in some places is peeling off like on the top of the wing, if you push on the loose edges it peels further back. I have T Cut the rest of the car and it is has come up well.

So for these parts what is the best way of getting rid of this laquer so that it does not have shiny patches of paint and dull milky laquer?

I thought wet and dry over to take it down to decent paint and then re laquer?

Any comments/ideas gratefully recieved.

You could wet and dry the panels down using water and fairy liquid with a grit of 1200-1500 then use a cutting compound to bring the paint back up to scratch then laquer and wax this should work.

sorry dude, didn't realise i didn't reply!!!!!! if the laquer is flaking off, you'll need to re-laquer the whole panel, you won't be able to polish it, it will just take all the base coat off.
