Cost me £1250
The car was clean before and had no rot but I wanted a few areas looked at so decided to go all the way so to speak and have the car done all over. The paintwork is as good as your going to get without spending shed loads and im very happy with the finish.
The man who painted it is called stuart and has his own paintshop in rayliegh essex. Very nice bloke and is good at what he does.
Id be happy to pass his number on if you pm me.

Please report back whether or not you're successful with changing the clutch while it's still in the car. Thanks!

Have managed to change the clutch without taking the engine out or breaking any of the parts. Hoping to get the sump baffle in tomorrow and then out for a test drive.
I have changed everything, the friction plates and the clutch plates aswell as going for a spring conversion instead of the standard diaphram which is the normal system on these engines.
The clutch feels more like a mini clutch now, much more feel, apparantly its the dogs bits of a clutch that ive bought but thats the man who sold it to me talking :proud: .
We shall have to wait and see if it works and I have done everything right but so far so good.
Wish me luck!

Nice one mate, thats good news you managed to do it with the engine in.

Was it a pig of a job to do or nothing worse than a mini clutch change?

No worse than a normal mini clutch change. except when youve undone enough stuff to get the engine at a good enough angle to remove the clutch, it is a lot easier to get out than a mini one and not as heavy! I would suggest to anyone who does it that they have a good knowledge of bikes or have someone with them who does as without the help of my friend it would have taken so much longer. I also have no inner wings so that made it easier too.

i installed my promo kit without any bike knowledge but it soon gets learnt lol. i have a flip front on mine so made life real easy installing it. took me and a mate to lift it out of my clio (on its subframe etc etc) and into the garage.

Took the car out for a proper run today, new clutch is definatly better and is much more progressive. And so far has not broke so I must have done it right.
Just hope so as I dont want Sunday to be the only year I fail to get to Brighton due to a break down.

Also since changing the clutch ive bought some iridium spark plugs and fitted them. They are surpossed to be the all singing all dancing spark plugs for motorbikes.
Has anyone else Fitted them?
I was taking it easy so have yet to see any benifit but they are surpossed to give more power, better fuel consumption etc.
Yes I can hear you all laughing and I shouldny beleave what it says on the box but they cant hurt can they.

Just a little bit of inside info for anyone who wants to do a track evening, Mini mags track evening is on the 28th of July at Brands Hatch. Its not on there website yet but its on the motorsportvision one. £119 is not bad and I did this one last year and it was great. Places are limited to 40 I think so if your interested book it asap before they advertise it.
