After buying the mk1 traveller I'll be sure to take its bonnet and grille for my mini.

What wont fit is that the bonnet hinges are the narrow ones, and my 1990 mini has a brake servo which has the hinges far apart!

I wouldn't mind driving without a servo, but if possible I'd still rather keep the servo as removing it is just an e extra thing to do and to replace it with the other brake cylnder..

Should I just cut off the hinges and space them further apart?

If not, then can somebody explain how easy it is to remove the servo and replace it with the normal brake master cylinder from the mk1 mini?

Why dont you just take the lip off the bonnet that is already on your 1990 mini, it will be far easier than tryin to get the other bonet to fit. The only differences between the Mk1 and later type bonnets, other than the hinge mountings, is there is the lip on the front of the later types. Its only there to hold the bling that makes up the top of the grill, and is only held on by a couple of spot welds so can be easily drill off.

Stacy's bonnet is in a VERY sorry state, I'm looking forward to replace it :)
