Hi, I have been thinking about fitting some of these Vibe Coaxial speakers in my mini linked up to a 600 watt JBL amp.

http://www.halfords....yId_165707#dtab

Where would be best to put these? I was thinking maybe on a sealed speaker board under the rear seats (if they will fit) but make the board so it angles up and not directly at my feet, maybe make a fiberglass one.

Also has anyone had any experience with these? I saw them in the shop the other day and look like they can pack quite a punch.

Thanks, Robbie

i fitted a set in the audio board powered by a poineer 50x4 head unit sounds perfect the bass was immmense to be honest with these you dont need a sub they have that much punch and the calirty is beaut

Just the feedback I was hoping for :P I also have a 12" 1000-watt JBL sub in the boot powered from the same amp. (I'm a bit of a bass addict and I don't have a boot anymore >_< )

I really should put some sound deadening down aswel!

I guess mines facing the wrong way then, I didnt really think about which way to put it to be honest. I'll get them speakers ordered when I get paid on friday :P Only thing is though, all the bass will be at the back, is there any way of bringing it forward a bit?

Was thinking one of these maybe bolted behind the dash or on the passengers footwell/ bulkhead somewere. Not sure how much space there is there, but just an idea.

Vibe speakers have always been very bassy, so your looking at the right ones for you. I would recomment a vibe amp though they look lovely, the flat black ones (mmm) .

Also remember plenty of dynamat otehrwise they may sound pants.

Yep! these were the first speakers I had in my Punto and they were AWESOME!!!

But sadly, my subs cooked them :P so they no longer work that well (Im actually just about to go to the scrappy to get a new parcel shelf lol)

Remember guys, do not let your 6x9's or any other speaker share the same air space with your sub or subs! Ive heard it before but was like yeh yeh whatever but seriously Ive just thrown away £75 and lost my vibes

I dont know weather to get another pair or just some cheaper ones incase it happens again because they were flippin awesome speakers

I have these mounted underneath the rear seats in a speaker board that i made. They are running off a four channel amp, 2 channels to each sub input, and 2 channels for both tweeters and sounds amazing!

I would highly recommend these!

James :P

Yea thats the one, forgot how expensive they were, but they do look very flush. What is your price range and i can reccoment a different amp if you want.

The alpines are quite good, i havnt heard them but its usually a good one. The fusions are good too but if your not using a 306 or a saxo then they are not for minis in my opinion.
