I have been thinking about fitting a rear beam axle when i replace the sub frame and boot floor need on my car.
I just wondered how easy they are to fit compared to a standard subframe, and if i was to fit one, how would i go about fixing the exhaust again, (where to, etc)?
Thanks
Mike

Fitting is the same as a subframe against the heal board, but there are a couple of extra mountings along the beam. All that needs doeing is drill through the heal board were the extra mountings are and put a bolt through (may come with the beam)
You'll have to make an exhaust bracket of some kind for the rear box were it used to bolt to the subframe.

Ive got a rear beam that I need to fit , are offset shocks ok or is it best to go with the normal coilovers and increase the tube size in the inner arches to suit?

For normal road use the offset top shocks are fine, for off road or racing you'll need the stronger ones and the body mods that go with them.

so if i fit a rear beam would i need to modify the body to accomodate the shocks - its just for road use, so the offset ones should be fine? Or would the coilovers fit without any body mods as i didnt want to do any?
Thanks

if you're fitting it for road use only the the off set ones are the ones you want! no mods required!
