Ok got my car m.o.t`d and on the road now. I have a 3.4 CWP, Tran-x LSD, 5PW, 165/70/10 tyres.

Front sprocket 18T

Rear sprocket 17T

Did some tests with my GPS

Road speed at 12,000rpm in 6th = 100 mph

Road speed at 12,000rpm in 5th = 93 mph

Road speed at 12,000rpm in 4th = 84 mph

Road speed at 12,000rpm in 3rd = 75 mph

Road speed at 12,000rpm in 2nd = 60 mph

Road speed at 12,000rpm in 1st = 45 mph.

Going to try a 16T & a 15T rear sprocket next to increase top speed.

Afternoon

I run 17/ 16 front / rear and I went by a mates mini (he says it tops out at 105/110) like he was standing still, but the chain gets quite hot, can just about hold it and its very noisy when you let off.

bought the car a few months ago think their is a build of it on here ?

newtune_s, nice car! If its a fibre glass minus I think I saw this on ebay not so long ago? Out of interest do you know how much it weighs?

Bit of info....with a 17F/16R setup on 13" wheels it sounds like you could be on a longer 3.1 Diff ratio as you would only be doing 104mph @ 11,750 in 6th on a 3.4CWP.

I am on a 3.4CWP on 10s.

After a bit of trial and error best setup is 18F/14R sprockets with a link taken out of the chain. Gear speeds as follows;

1st  Gear @ 11,750 rpm = 53 mph

2nd Gear @ 11,750 rpm = 73 mph

3rd Gear @ 11,750 rpm = 89 mph

4th Gear @ 11,750 rpm = 101 mph

5th Gear @ 11,750 rpm = 111mph

6th Gear @ 11,750 rpm = 120 mph

Looks much better on the 10s - as mini`s should be! I`ve just about finished mine now, i`ll put a build thread up when I get chance as there may be some info that will help some people looking at doing a Pro-motive project.

Sounds like you could be on a 3.4 then after all.

Shame about the diff issues, I guess you are not running a LSD?

Get one of these ordered....

^ This ^ is a front sprocket from a Suzuki Busa bike, but its what fits rear diff sprocket on the pro-motive kit. Take a link out of the chain and its perfect for a 18F/14R setup.
