Hi, just turned 17 and bought a 1980 Austin mini city E 1000 for £450.
Not in tip top condition as im sure u can imagine but still an absolute bargain. what'd ya think?

For £450 any mini looking like that is a bargain!

Hi and welcome to the forum. you had your self a bargain there. The mini looks good! the guys on here are great, if you have any problems with your pride and joy, then im sure there will be some one out there with the answers. enjoy! :thumbsup:)

As i am new to this i was wondering what kind of simple mods i should ot it without it affecting my insurnce too much? Any ideas? :(

As you are 17 I would leave mods for a couple of years. I agree with Dr deep. Ditch the roll cage and bucket seats. Put a set of normal seats in and don't think about lying on you insurance as if you have an accident they will try anything to avoid paying out.

Have fun with your car.

p.s. if you are anywhere near nottingham or shropshire and you do decide to get rid of the cage, I might be interested.

I think the pic might be a bit deceptive because i havent got a roll cage but cheers neway!

first mod ide make is get rid of the steelies and put some nice rims on there mate, :)
will make it look 50x nicer in a heart beat

nice car bud for 450, you passed your test yet?
