watch out for the imitation KAD quickshifts being sold by a lot of the traders at mini shows. I first noticed these at MITP. They're £29.99, and feature the lift up reverse function too. They also look externally identical from a distance/

I had a good look at one, the quality of the materials used is shocking, and the machining on the threads and other components is pants. The action on the lift up reverse is terrible, and the movement of the stick inside the anodised bit felt notchy and stiff.

Despite them being a third the price, I would ALWAYS get the genuine KAD one, just because its so much better quality, and fully guaranteed too.

Yea I would also like to know thins...

I have seen the QS replacemnt rods... are they hard to fit? also does anyone have info on the KAD QS spring thing... makes the chage between 2-3 quicker like on a modern car...

not seen the KAD bias spring, but fitted the mini spares one to my mates hillclimb car, and its marvelous, realy improves the change between 2nd and 3rd.
