Right took the old gear stick out and can see how the new one is soppossed to go in. The anodised kad bit is sopposed to sit over the old part but the only problem is the two pins the the picture get in the way.
does anyone know how to fit a quickshifter? or can give me any pointers on where im going wrong?
thanks

 you have to remove the 2 pins, and the quickshift should have some bolts that will go into the holes of those 2 pins.

ed is correct I'm afraid and it is easier to do this with the gear linkage off the car!

Yep and you have to cut your old gear stick up for the spring etc (Bluemini told me )

All done now did it with the box left in the car, already had the spring etc... on the quickshifter so didn't need to destroy the original shifter.

Just wondered what the price for the Kad quickshifts are, and are they worth fitting for the price?

I was looking at the pricelist they sent me and the price for a "New Improved gear lever rod change" was £85, but im sure i have seen it for around £40. Is the £85 correct and am i just imagining the £40 price?

Thanks

the improved one for 85qud has a lift up system on the lever for reverse, making it impossible to go into reverse if u fluff a shift, its a very nice bit of kit

I like them but many people don't! It's a personal preference.
the new Kad Quickshift is supposed to make the gearchanges slicker and not so brutal!
they also do a complete exchange unit for you old rod change!
