i need the screw that goes into the side of the starter on a verto flywheel, you know the large posidrive ones, mines come out somehow and i believe it holds the magnets in place, and starting is a problem, if anyone has one i could buy i'll gladly take it off their hands

i have a couple of later starter motors laying around (the ones with the solenoid built into it) will this screw fit? i dont want to damage any threads

why don't you take the screw out of one of your newer starters and see? you'll know if the thread is wrong if it goes tight after a very short time.

If its the right one then it'll screw straight in (assuming the threads aren't already damaged)
