ive been lookin at minispeed mappable ingnitions and was wondering
if this setup gets rid of the dizzy and coil? and also how big an improvement
it would be on a slightly fettled 1275
mappable ingnition

Have you considered MegaSquirt or MegaJolt?
(if you havent heard of them, they are DIY ECUs that you build yourself)

and on a a road going engine I would say no, race, rally or massivly high performance engine then yes!

Talk to MiniMinus, he has mappable ignition on his Minus.

I would have thought that mapable ignition on a road car is where it makes the most sense, particuarly if you are converting from standard injection, or of you are constantly making little changes to engine performance.

Megasquirt looks fantastic, I didnt realise it would be so possible to "make your own" mappable injection system
