Hi All
Ive just tried to fit the mini spares nylon throttle cable to my mini and have hit on a snag.
The origional one has a white plastic gromit which is disc shaped that slides onto a metal clip at the carb end, while the all new mini spares one has nothing at all. Ive tried to remove the gromit but it wont come off. When i ordered the new cable it mentioned nothing about this gromit. Does anyone know where i can get one from or what else i can use.
This is what i have brought

These are what ive found that may do the trick

Some advice on whether these are any good please or where to go to get the bit i need (Halfords??) would be great.
Thanks again
Johnny

What about using the rubber gromit in its place? Would that work?

I just need something to hold it in place

That rubber grommet is to stop the heater and choke cables rubbing and wearing/squeaking where they come through the bulk head, and have nothing to do with the accelerator cable

Yeah i thought that putting it in where the plastic thing should go would do the job but after looking at it realise it wont. Im not sure what to do at all.
