yeah let me know when you get it back ill pop round for a nosy.
Im going pickin my kit up on Sunday so ill be able to press on with it, spent the last couple of weeks cleaning parts up and painting ready for when the frame comes.
oh and i started to cut the holes in the front for the lights and grill.
the bonnet hinges arrived from USA but they sent me 2 hinges from the same side, so now im waiting for the replacement.

I need to hunt down some wheels at weekend now but i believe some 13 x 7s dont fit over the big brake kit.

Just a few bits to follow from zcars then hopefully build it up into the car and take it from there.

cant wait !!

Its a nice feeling - getting all the stuff together and making a start, I hope it all comes together easily for you.

Mine is only the second mini I have ever owned and the last one was 19 years ago, at least mini's are all fresh in your head, mind you not that theres that much mini left when you done with it.

Damn it is a small world, although not from Denton i'm from Failsworth, and hopefully going to be starting my Zcars cars project with my clubby real soon. I'll think i'll have to be cheeky and pop round and have alook at what you are doing. should be nice having a few Zcars round this end of the woods!

we did do a van bike engine version for a guy who had a garage called Chicks motors or something like that
dont think he ever got it built as we sent another kit there last yr and the guy had looked at buying the project
vans are very rare and will be a nice thing when done
chris

I have just bought that van :D will start my own build thread when i find an easy way to resize my pictures.

Your project is looking good v-tec van :mrcool: keep up the good work

^^^^ Those pictures are great!! :dontgetit:

My van is very much in bits, you are well ahead of me :) , my shell has been made ready for the zcars conversion but neither the floor of the van or frame have been drilled.
I intend to trial fit the frame to check that the shell has been cut out in the correct place!
My van came with a standard front subframe with adjustable lower arms and tie rods this has been built up and fitted to the shell but will almost certainly be replaced with a zcars tubular front frame.
The "box of bits" i bought seems to include most major components some in good usable condition some brand new still with stickers on and some junk, engine is a Hayabusa

Anyway this is your thread about your van not mine! will start my own build thread when i can sort out resizing my pictures any tips?

Another update:

After spending some time away from the car and getting some new garage toys

( now i just need to learn how to use them )

I pushed the van outside for a look from a distance

I managed to get in the garage today and fit the air vents.
I wanted to do somthing abit different and somthing ive not seen done so i used the original fuel filler cowl ( i`ve got another coming off e-bay ) and they look better than i expected.

Hopefully ill be ordering the 4-2-1 stainless exhaust from Zcars next week so then ill be able to make some brackets to stop the back end from moving about.
