the fuse for the wipermotor and heater keepes blowing each time i use the wipers. i have narrowed the problem to the earth cable not wired to the wiper motor. does anyone know where you attach the eath wire on the motor, there arent any marked points on my wiper motor.

there should be some very small (2BA?) bolts that are screwed into the wiper motor body, they hold the outer plate on.

Remove one and refix it with your earth wire attached, then earth the wire to the inner wing or bulkhead.

Should do the trick.

I always thaught the Wiper motors earthed onto their mounting point (the scuttle pannel)...

You sure the live is not shorting on anything?

There's a small rubber pad which they sit on (right underneath the motor body), so they do need another earth.

i dont think there is any other fault or atleast as far as i can tell. there is a black cable that was hanging loose on one of the small bolts on the motor thats why i asumed it was earth. connected it to the body panel so will see if the prob occurs again.
