Hi all,
Tried posting this in the technical section but didnt get any replies. Just wondering if anyone in here can help.
Im thinking of doing a bike engineed mini conversion and cant decide wether to go the Pro-motive or Z cars route.
The main thing making it difficult is the Pro-motive is FWD and the Z cars RWD and rear engined. To me RWD is definately preferable but the Pro-motive is quite a bit cheaper.
Can anyone who has built, owned or driven either one offer any advice. The main questions I have are
How hard are they to build in comparison with one another? (one big plus I can see if the Pro-motive doesnt require body mods, is that right?)
Is FWD really a problem?
Does it suffer with torque steer ur understeer or anything like that with 150 bhp+ going through the front wheels?
I notice although the Z cars kit is more expensive it does include complete replacement from and rear subframes, and a roll cage, and brakes and suspension. Is all this extra needed to be taken into consideration when building a Pro-motive car?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Can You Help Me Decide Which Kit Is Best?
