The Unit accepts standard rear bearings and will slot straight onto you radius arms!
Let me know what you think so far!

Hi all, as you may know Ive been trying to design and manufacture a rear disc brake convertion. Its taken me a while but I think ive finally finished a hub from billet that will work!
The Unit accepts standard rear bearings and will slot straight onto you radius arms!
Let me know what you think so far!

Ive got a plan for the calipers etc but im still working on it... just out of interest, what would be people spend on a kit? Complete with everything, calipers, hubs, bearings etc?
So ive got a budget to work to.

So less then that ideally, the kit would need to come with bearings, any fittings etc in my eyes and would the h/brake work with the standard mini h/brake cable?

If I was looking at buying a kit I probably wouldn't spend more than about £200-250. That's generally how much front brake calipers are now, and you could get alloy rear hubs, Minifins and new brake shoes for less than that and lose a lot of weight in doing so.
I guess you're looking at a 1 or 2 pot bike or cart caliper, and then also the Wilwood handbrake caliper? I have to say unless you're planning on building a specific caliper for this conversion I doubt you're going to acheive a setup that gives you both the lightest setup on the market (the only real point to this conversion) and a setup that will fit under 10" wheels.

I dont think the whole point is lightness.. I think its a very large part of it but I also think this looks great and adds some bling! lol
After all most things you do to a mini are to make it look good!
I will do some research and draw up a kit price

id buy them because they are nice strong billet hubs with the extra peice of mind that you have disks on the back
plus they look awesome mate well done!
