Ok the guy who owned the mini before me was going to paint it so he rubbed the whole mini down to just the paint, I don't have the money for a professional respray nor a compressor (for a while anyway) and I don't want to waste money on cans of lacquer because I do have plans to paint it in the near future maybe spring.

Will it be all right as long as I drive it on a good day ie no rain? Will it rust alot quicker? Like I say there isn't any bare metal at the moment but there are bits of primer around the bodywork aswell as the paint.

that should be ok, if there is no bare metel it should be fine!!! just make sure that if you drive it in the rain, check to see if any rusty patches show up a few days after, if it does deal with it sooner rather than later!!!!
