ok so my mini is getting a little tatty round the edges so have decided that in the near future i want to get it resprayed but have decided to give it a go myself.
i just need to know what the best thing to do is. the car is diamond white
should i take the whole car back to bare metal or just key the origional paint?
whats the best paint to use and where can i get it?
whats the best way to go about getting rid of small bits of rust and small dents?
what sort of equipments will i need ie what size compressor?
it would be really great if you could give me some tips as i want to do the best job i can!
basic how to paint guide needed!

to be fair ,you cant cover re-spraying a car in a how to guide
it would take a whole book :grin:
A good start would be to buy the haynes book on bodywork and spraying .

well put woody, i did look into doing something along those lines but it took 45 pages before we even got to preping for base coat!!!!

cheers for that i know it was a bit of a mission.
i have just got to buy all the equipment now and turn my garage into a booth too.
my mate is gonna spray it for me now, leaving me to do all the prep work!
