Ok, here's my engine to go in it. Will be paired wit a nice set of HS4 twin SUs >_<

Oh and not forgetting the carbon fibre rocker cover!:

Was told it was the only on in the world when I bought it, I know of 1 or 2 more, but never seen one with the ribs in the top like this one :)

And here's the custom dial I'm making. Will have digital readout of speed and revs, going to keep the mechanical fuel guage undereath. Want to try and make it as subtle as possible, hence why it'll be mounted in the old speedo. Not putting a full dash in, just the black centre surround with the 2 smaller dials either side.

This is all looking very good.
Sorry I can't suggest a source for a rear screen; they are difficult to find and expensive for that reason.
Be aware that a numberplate on the bonnet (not flat/vertical) may attract a word from a certain type of police officer. I met one such in about 1974, but they are rare. Most people seem happy to risk it.
You are obviously well in control of your project but anyway if you would care to click here, here and here you can see trillions of photobucket pix of Huey having things done. I hear you yawning already. >_<

Wow nice work! Looked through the lot :)
So is it complete and on the road now?
Not meaning to ask too personal questions, but what do you reckon it's worth now it's done? Have you got an agreed valuation?
Cheers
Dan >_<

Woohoo got my new Cooper S disc setup through today from MiniSpares, aswell as new door rubbers (so I can get them aligned eventually) and a fuel tank sender.
Also got through a brand new old stock set of oval rear lights, the later style which mine should have. Lucky find!

Thanks
Dan :)

Ooo thanks for that! Would have it if it wasn't so far away, and he's not willing to wrap in and post it (don't blame him!)
Still searching, but will have a polycarb one from Dad if I can't findone at a reasonable price. Will also mean I could have it bronze tinted which would look quite cool, and I wouldn't have to pair the earth for one >_<

Thanks  Didn't want to start adding extra dials in there, think it looks tacky. So thought using the original one with an all-in-one centre would keep it tidy and look pretty cool! Can't wait to get it on the road :w00t: Going for respray Friday >_<

Is the rear screen on the pick up not a simple flat screen?
If so then find a local glass place that will cut you one, and toughen it, for around £50

Although not local to you, I know this company have previously made side windows for a number of Sprint conversions:

That's great, cheers for the link. I'm not going to rush into buying one now, I just mentioned it because I know they are few and far between, so if one comes up I'll have it, if not I'll wait till nearer the time as as you can see I'm quite a way off putting the glass in! :goaway:

Got happy with the grinder today and started removing the useless job of paintwork in the load bed. Taking it back to metal and doing it properly this time! :)

Also went to the Panel Shop and bought the paint. I decided to go for a darker blue, still flat blue though. It's not a lot darker, but will be noticeably darker. Am prepping it with my brother this weekend and next week in the evenings, then hopfully will be sprayed pretty soon! Can't wait!
Here's a pic of what I've been up to today...
