on my 1275GT there used to be a capillary water temp gauge. I hate these and removed it immediately (cut the capillary tube with some cutters so it closed it at the end to stop water leaking).

I have the sender unit for an electric gauge from my 998 but when I take out the capillary one, will water gush out from the block? How much of it?

When the engine is COLD, remove and then replace the rad cap. then remove and replace the sender, you will only lose about a egg cup full.

Siggy
