Have had an lsd fitted now and some other upgrades made to the car by pro-motive and wow what a differance it has made.
Although as my Dad warned me its a bit more difficult to push backwards now with the lsd fitted!
I managed not to spin off like I did last year and also had a chance to really see how my mod to the cooling system ( see the other topic ) has had an affect on the temperature while its being driven hard. Over the whole session it did not go over 83 degrees which is a big improvement.
Ive never had an lsd fitted to a mini before so it takes some getting used to but theres definatly less wheel spin coming out of corners. Although it always looks like im just out for a Sunday drive on the videos when you get home and watch I really felt like I was on the limit out there ( My driving skill and not the car probably )
Now its back to the bodyshop to fix all the little bits of paintwork ive damaged over the year from track days and maybe ill fit a cf roof over the winter?

Check out this link to the video.

PS

Big thank you to Darren and Phil for there help with sorting out the car.

Hi
We are trying to fit a TraneX in. Which are yours? Phil and Darren´s quaife?
I would like to know more about Mini with LSD, how faster car is, cornering, etc as I´ve never driven a Mini with LSD fitted before and I hope to drive it in two weeks.
By the way, good video!

It is a quaife yes. Car went back to pro motive to have that fitted and some other mods, Has resulted in the car being totally differant to drive and a lot more user friendly.
Is it down to the diff? Well I would say so.
If you watch last years castle combe vid then you will notice that there was a lot of wheel spin coming out of corners and that is definatly not happening anymore. Car feels much much more sorted now in the corners.
I have also fitted an anti roll bar to the rear which I would hope helps aswell.
