Have had trouble getting the mini started
Today I connected a jump wire from the white/yellow ( this wire goes to the + side of the coil) on the solenoid to the battery and turned the key and it started
Still no charge warning light and you can not turn the car off with the key ( have to disconnect the jump wire)
Any one have an idea whats going on and what do I have to do to fix it

Any help welcome
Regards
Neil

Sounds like you have no feed to the main wiring on the vehicle. Do your lights / indicators etc work?

If so, I would check the live feed to the ignition switch. I this is present, then you clearly have a wiring issue somewhere between the igntion switch and the coil. Have you checked the ignition fuse?

Is it cranking off the switch? If so then you have power to the ignition switch but not to the coil.
