ill post up pictures on our progress (major bits of progress anyway) in here.

looks like it'll be a great site.... yeah it'd be great to have pics on there.... we're looking at having it done within a yearYeah, im currently working on a new design with even more information than there is at the moment, there will be alot of other members cars on there. It should be ready just after MW45 in a few weeks

oh yeah the proposed spec for the car (if anybody could be bothered to read this lot)...
Body:
de-seamed & de-bumpered
sport pack arches to be modified and blended in to body prior to painting
painted toyota rav 4 metallic blue with black roof (rage extreme metal flake to be added to each colour)
relocate brake/fuel lines internally
removed rear seat bench (done)
rear stowage compartments removed (done)
bulkhead modified for turbo (done)
clubman fibreglass removeable front end
new rear valence (as always the current ones rusted to buggery)
new door skins
boot welded shut and smoothed (so no gaps or holes)
battery box moved to rear of cabin
new fuel tank positioned in rear of cabin
full cage
hole in side panel behind drivers door for exhaust exit
Engine:
A+ sereis MG Turbo engine
rebore to 1293cc
dished omega pistons
piper cam
1:5:1 roller tip rockers
10 row oil cooler
ford escort radiator
S1 RS turbo intercooler
quick shift
thicker metal head gasket
atmospheric dump valve
adjustable boost controller
sump guard
chassis:
KYB adjustables
hi lo's
12x6" revolutions
mg turbo vented discs
EBC green stuff pads
mini sport super fin rear drums
Ancillaries:
perspex front & rear side windows
buckets & 6 point harnesses
custom exhaust system 4" exit
boost, volt, amp, oil pressure gauges.

thanks! i hope that we could get a magazine feature once its finished.... we were gonna go down the Vauxhall 2.0l 16v route....but it is gonna prove too expensive for now (maybe a future mod)Certainly sounds like its gonna be somet a little special.
last of the pictures for now, this brings us pretty much up to date...
from sunday:
further de-seaming and fault rectifying (what the MIG welder cocked up - now using oxy acetylene gas welder, which is much better at bonding the two panels and doesnt pull them TOO out of shape)
mates grandad showing us young uns that he really is better than us at gas welding
de-seamed c-pillar, filled over and ready to be taken down and smoothed out
