picked up the fibreglass front end today that i got off ebay, including steady bars (£67)...bargain!!

its in great condition with the exception of a few stone chips, but thats nothing a bit of bodyfiller wont put right.

traveled 335 miles today to get it tho'! :tongue:

all in all.... chuffed as a puff with two a**eholes!! :tongue:

thats what i like to see a clubman front being fitted to the " other " mini :)

just a note, i dont think having the fuel tank in the cabin is going to be legal for safety reasons. i know its not for competion cars, unless its in a fire proof box , i think.
may be worth finding out now rather than later.

Best fuel tank mounting ive seen was a van tank adapted to fit in the boot of a saloon, where the boot floor joins the back seat. It made the whole boot look really neat, and must be better for weight distribution/cg!

Would not like to change the rear lamps or shockers after to beets been welded up.

As far as I know there is no regulations ( the regulations on Competition cars are RAC and FIA, not MOT) on where to mount the fuel tank, as long as its vented OK I can't see any problems. Also can't see any reason why you would want to do it, when the boot space is empty. The handling might be better with moving the weight forward, but unless you are sat in Bahrain waiting to go for a few laps round the circuit you won't notice the difference :)))))))))
