although at first glance this can be done there are various problems in acheiving it
first the engine when mounted sideways in the engine bay is too wide to fit, the propshaft will interfere with your clutch pedal
the exhausts will foul on the passenger suspension
the engine is 24 inches from sump to top of rocker cover and the throttle bodies stick up even further than that
the biggest problem is that the steering rack cant go in its original position
finally you will need a diff for the rear and a propshaft as well
all this adds weight and complexity to the build
we did do an R1 yamaha several years ago and it only just fitted
a pickup is begging for a rwd conversion with the engine in what was the bed of the pickup you can get at the motor easily to work on it and the cab area remains intact
the finished item is superb as its refined to drivethe engine moise being swept away from you backwards as you travel along

Link to IGES file of Hayabusa Engine

Use the link to a very useful site if you are really wanting to do it yourself, I plan to next time (dont worry Chris I am not doing any copying of your frame or suspension setup and you'll be more than welcome to checkn and I have no intention to sell on). The downlaodable file is at the bottom of the page, along with an R1 model. As the site says, dont use the measurements to have anything manufactured, so it'll be close but dont rely completely on the model.
